Living Room

Think of a side table as a couch’s sidekick. While the couch may seem like the center of attention, side tables ensure glasses aren’t placed on the floor, they hold lamps to provide extra lighting and they’re great for books, candles, and other decor items. Not only are side tables crucial for a living space, they can also make the couch look good!  As you can see in the images above – from HGTV’s Green Home in Stapleton, CO – a side table doesn’t have to be boring. Football season is here! If you’re the hosting type, it’s time to perfect your nachos, warm up the grill and start sending your friends weekly invites to cheer on your favorite team! (Go Broncos!) To secure your abode as the hangout of choice for this NFL season you must evaluate your TV’s stamina and how it stacks up to the competition.

We recently spotted PCMag.com’s article The Best HDTV’s for Watching Football and featured the three TV’s you should consider:

Samsung PN51D8000 - PCMag.com

LG Infinia 47LW5600
2D- and 3D-image quality, a wealth of features, and a 47-inch screen for $1,699

Samsung PN51D8000
51-inch screen, full-featured 3D plasma HDTV for $2,299

Sony KDL-46EX720
2D- and 3D-picture, 46-inch screen, a hearty feature set for $1,599

For additional details check out the PCMag.com article.

Also, don’t forget that the set-up of your man cave, living room, entertainment room, NFL zone room (whatever you call it) needs to be able to accommodate the following:

  • Easy access to bathrooms
  • Large table for consuming food (and the table should be mess friendly)
  • A glare-free TV (make sure everyone can get a clear view no matter where they’re sitting)
  • A DVR for rewinding the last red zone play or turnover
  • Enough seats for the number of guests you invite
  • A handful of side tables, unless you’re okay with drinks/food placed on the floor (keep in mind, this may result in a sticky mess)

Do you like to host your friends for the NFL season? What’s the TV size in your home?
